International Education Week

International Education Week is a celebration of international education and exchange worldwide. This event is supported by a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.

This week is a collaborative effort between the following departments:

International Education Week Kick-off Breakfast

Join the International Services Center and the UCF Global Perspectives Office for breakfast as we celebrate the outstanding internationalization efforts of individuals and groups on campus in the community.

The event serves as the grand opening to International Education Week (November 16 - 20) and is highlighted by cultural performances and guest speaker, Ron Soodalter, abolitionist and author.

Individual seats can be purchased for $22 or a table of ten for $200. To purchase a seat or a table for the kickoff, please contact the International Services Center at 407-823-2337 or iscevents@mail.ucf.edu.

Book Talk and Signing

Dr. Kevin Meehan, Associate Professor of English, and Dr. Marie Léticée, Associate Professor of French, will discuss their new books, which examine African American and Caribbean cultures and identities through music, theology, education, and anthropology.

International Heritage Celebration

Faculty Center, SDES
International potluck to sample foods from various cultures. Faculty and Staff are encouraged to wear traditional dress. They are also invited to present or describe interesting features of their cultural/national heritage. The presenters will have about ten minutes for their "show and tell."

Colombian Culture Night

The International Services Center will host this event along with the Colombian Student Association (ColSA) to highlight Colombian history, flavor and traditions. Please join us for an exciting night of free food, music and dance.
