Three International Students Named to Order of Pegasus

The Order of Pegasus is a selective program recognizing exemplary performance by students in the areas of academic achievement, professional or community service, leadership, and publication or research experiences. Because of the breadth of accomplishments required for this award, the Order of Pegasus is the most prestigious and significant student award that can be attained at the university.

Congratulations are bestowed to this year's International Student honorees:

Ayoolabode “Ayo” A. Ajaja is an Electrical Engineering major in the College of Engineering and Computer Science with a minor in Finance. Ajaja is a resident assistant and a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, UCF African Association, International Students Association and President’s Leadership Council. After graduation, he plans to work as an analyst for an investment bank’s technology department and pursue his MBA.

Tai T. Do is pursuing a doctoral degree in Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. He is a graduate research teaching assistant and lab instructor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He received a Graduate Research Fellowship and Graduate Enhancement Award, and he plays intramural soccer. He wants to become a university professor in the field of research technology.

Samiullah “Sami” K. Durraniis an Industrial Engineering doctoral student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. Durrani has received a Presidential Doctoral Fellowship and has led several research projects. He also participates in the Army Corps of Engineers’ hurricane recovery efforts and helps The Citizens Foundation for underprivileged children. Durrani hopes to work as a university professor and pursue a national leadership position with the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
